Here
are three ways you could go for a challenge -

Why
not use one or more Great Walks to generate sponsorship from
colleagues, neighbours and friends?
Select any of our walks in an edition area which suits you, and a
toughness level within your capabilities. There is a huge range to
choose from.
You could go for a really strenuous yomp from our Devon & Dartmoor
edition. Perhaps the ascent of Willhays, the highest summit on the moor,
to take just one example.
But much gentler routes could also be great fundraisers. Our circumnavigation of the Blenheim Palace Estate guides
you around this historic area, all on public footpaths. You'll find
this moderately easy walk in our Cotswolds edition.

Maybe
you could recruit a team of friends or colleagues. The chaps in our
picture have just completed the ascent of Mam Tor from Castleton, in
the heart of the Peak District.
A team event multiplies the sponsorship possibilities, and makes for an
extremely enjoyable challenge.
You could choose from very demanding walks from our editions covering
Dartmoor, Exmoor, the Peak District or the Yorkshire Dales, for example.
Every area also includes a good selection of less strenuous routes.
Equally enjoyable easier and moderate routes may be found in our Sussex & the
South Downs, Cotswolds or Dorset editions amongst others.

Perhaps
the ultimate challenge is to undertake a series of Great Walks, either
within a defined period of time or on an open-ended basis.
If
you're a very experienced mountain walker and feeling really fit you might tackle the 'Three Peaks
Challenge', described as three separate walks in our Yorkshire Dales
edition. More
3 Peaks Info
There are lots more interlocking walk possibilities: Several walks
incorporate South Downs Way sections in Sussex and Hampshire. A whole
load of summits to 'bag' in the Peak District, as well as miles and
miles of yomping on Dartmoor.
Bagging Church Spires, or pubs ?, might be appropriate in The Cotswolds
or The Chilterns. Dorset or Somerset & North Devon editions include
many sections of rugged coastline to weave together.
Imagination is the key - browse the Great Walks edition menus for ideas.
